THE THINGS YOU TOLD ME
The things you told me about life
all true stories
dreams, imagination to my eyes,
fresh as the first beam on a glittering wave
but sad as the last one, that sinks
all we loved and saved.
The things you told me about death
stories meant for others
kisses in blood, deep of pure love
hopeless in that moment
a bitter call, wild in all regret.
The things you told me about trust
stories without any answer
faith and unfaith in equal power
slowly mouldered into dust
a rotten stem on the flower.
The things you told me to survive
stories to nourish the blind life
dreams and failures, together shall thrive
needing great visions to care about.
But now farewell,
my mind in grievous doubts.
