Lesson no 1.
About 600 B.C.
We know that on the island Lesbos a woman lived called Sappho.
She wrote lyric poetry that was possible to sing.
Lyric comes from the Greek word Lyra definition of the instrument and the songs singing to Lyre. Small fragments of her poetry have been found.
Since then it has been settled about lyric poetry that its most important ingredients are Musicality, Visuality and Closeness. (mostly also rhyme)
The musical flow of the words , The pictures painting in the mind of the reader,
the closeness between the writer and the reader.
